Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.06% February 14–Monday

MOSCOW, Feb 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.06% from February 14 through Monday from 0.18% in the previous week, and reached 1.3% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

The prices for flour and pasta dropped by 0.7%, for buckwheat and noodles by 0.5%, for chicken meat, cooked sausage, sterilized milk, tea by 0.4%. The prices for eggs rose by 1.11%, for sausages by 0.8%, for children meat preserves by 0.7%.

The prices for fruit and vegetables grew by 1.2% on average. The price for onions rose by 6.9%, tomatoes 4%, bananas by 3.8%, beets and potatoes by 1%, carrots by 0.7% and apples by 0.6%. The price for cucumbers decreased by 2.1%, white cabbage 0.8%.

The gasoline prices remained almost flat while the diesel fuel prices contracted by 0.2%.
